Casie Girvin (she/they)
Voice + Movement Instructor, Pre-College Intensive and Young Company

Casie Girvin (she/they) is an interdisciplinary story-teller, singer, actor, acrobat, voice teacher, and movement coach. As a teaching artist, Casie is the Voice Program Manager at Mister John’s Music, where she teaches choir, cabaret, and private voice for children through adults. They also teach private voice lessons out of their home studio in South Philly. Casie serves on faculty at The Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and Circadium, teaching voice, movement, acrobatics, and physical theatre/performance prep. She has also taught for The Arden Theatre Co., Sister Cities Girlchoir, Philly inMovement, and many other companies.

Casie is the Artistic Director of The Circus Opera Company, which explores the synthesis of classical music and dynamic circus arts. Their inaugural circus opera, The Tire Swing won the 5 Star Fringie Award and was part of the curated schedule for the 2025 Philadelphia Contemporary Circus Festival. As a performer, her favorite credits include Charlotte in The Arden’s Charlotte’s Web, Nellie Forbush in South Pacific, Edith Cook in Six Autumns on the Hudson, and John Webster in Shakespeare in Love.

Casie has a BM in Vocal Performance from Temple University, and has trained at The Actor’s Gymnasium Circus School, and the Pig Iron School. She has done extensive professional development training in contemporary commercial vocal pedagogy, and writes curriculum for CCM voice programs across the North-East.

Casie is joyful, welcoming, and everyone's hype-person. Her class will allow you to better listen to yourself, surprise yourself, and to follow your instincts!
